Nunca fuimos un desierto

This short film is inspired by an installation by Argentine textile artists Chiachio & Giannone. In it, a group of dancers wearing costumes designed and sublimated by the artists challenge the choreography of the "Pericón", the national folk dance, to question the history of a homeland projected as white, binary, and civilized. The work rejects the conquest imaginary that narrated a void where there was diversity: we were never a desert.
